Ethics as a guiding principle

At fp, we act according to the values we help our clients achieve: integrity, transparency and a positive impact. All fp’ers observe the fp Code of Conduct, that provides for integrity, diversity, as well as fair and ethical behaviour in all our work. We believe in, and operate according to high ethical principles when conducting our research, collecting only information that is legitimately in the commercial interests of our clients. Potential threats to our ethical principles and values are systematically evaluated, documented and reviewed prior to accepting any project.

Complementing our CoC on a day-to-day basis are our Standard Operating Procedures, that govern our risk escalation model, the onboarding process and vetting of sub-contractors. We conduct an annual training on our SOPs and CoC, and new team members must review all of the SOPs and company guidelines during onboarding. We conduct KYC on all clients to identify issues that would run against our values. Any clients or projects that we deem to have the potential to create an adverse impact on communities and the planet are declined.

Distributed work model

fp has embraced a distributed work model for our team aimed at finding the best talent globally – and the best possible equilibrium between life and work. Our model, which we called fp Flow following an in-house naming competition at its launch in May 2021, allows employees to be based at a location of their choice. We compensate for our day-to-day distance by meeting for regular social gatherings online and offline. Another great benefit is that our distributed set-up means we are physically close to a wider range of clients. Balancing the professional and private is a challenge all organisations face, all the more since colleagues were cast apart and offices emptied with the onset of the pandemic. What we strive for at fp is to ensure we can efficiently communicate and collaborate on projects within the team, while guaranteeing freedom and flexibility for employees.
